Ospreys lose at Bridgend in the rain to Leicester Tigers 14-21 (although it should be noted that around a third of the Ospreys squad was made up of academy players).

Scarlets beat the Scarlets Premiership Select 82-12 at Llandovery. (Again with a more-or-less third string squad).

Dragons lose heavily to both Montpellier and Northampton Saints (goodness knows what they were thinking splitting the squad in two - they are a fairly weak squad even as one!)

I went to the O's in Bridgend and was very un impressed the only bright spot was Dan Evens (again). Baker scored a good try, but all plodding stuff, and the handling and positioning was crap.
Hook did his normal 2 good then 1 bad, all the others looked like they did not want to be there.

I'm not sure I will get to any but hope to get to watch my home town club next weekend if the game is on.
they are a bit of a waste of time in the way these games are structured and organised ....they aren't real and mean very little. I went to the Scarlets v Bath a couple of years ago and the Scarlets did well in the first "third" but then the whole team was changed in the next 3rd and by the end I was in the bar...nice day, nice place Bath, but did I have to go to the match?!!

Bath is a gem of a place but pre season friendlies are for the Aunties and Uncles. I had my brain hemorrhage in Bath, I nutted a flower pot I thought was plastic .. bloody thing was concrete. Amazing architecture in that place :-)

I took my wife to see The Dragons at PontyPool Park once It was either Leeds or Harlequins, I'll never forget the way she asked 'Is that where they keep the spares' looking at the bench. And my nephew seeing kids from school over on the bank saying ..if they see me here I am in trouble on Monday. I never understood that. Neither game was any good as I think I commented at the time.

Scarlets just about won at Bristol thanks to a late Patchell try. FT 26-33. Throughout the first hour Bristol were actually winning, but Pivac replaced the second/third-stringers with first-stringers at HT, which did change the match.

A hybrid first/second-string Cardiff Blues overcame London Scottish 23-34.

And not surprisingly, Exeter hammered the Dragons 50-24.

Classic valley spelling, and I am glad you continue to show interest in the regional game :P

Not seen the game but reading SF, the Scarlets game appeared to be a game of two halves. First half an inexperienced Scarlets XV struggled against a strong wind, going in at HT 26 - 12 down.. Second half a more experienced side took the field and scored 21 unanswered points. Not sure how many first team players were absent, but probably Owens, Foxy, Ball, Halfpenny, Rob Evans.

Hardly a first team. And given the second half score, had they fielded a first team it would have been a tad one sided.

First teamers missing were Halfpenny, Foxy, Evans, Barclay, Owens and Rawlins. Lee played as a sub for 20 minutes in the first half.

Half the team..

Due to injury, Ball was missing too.

I attended the Ospreys-Bath match, and even taking into account that circa 40% of the Ospreys squad were academy players, I was appalled by their (lack of) set-piece in particular. Also, Tandy should have made far more changes at HT - it was telling the Ospreys actually looked decent when Giles and Watkin came on and helped make the scoreline a bit more respectable.
