Post Francs v NZ U20 semi
I hope that it wont be the same dimension as last saturday ! :D

Don't know a lot about the NZ team but pick outs from France are :

Carbonel and Ntamack,( 2nd Season for U20 and one more to go, already in Fra elite development squad and playing selected matches in Top14 for Toulouse) both 10s now playing 1st and 2nd 5/8

Woki in the back row who is alreadyi in top14 rugby and new kid on the block back row 17 year old Joseph who has already signed for Racing

Fra had iffy games against Ire and Georgia but were outstanding in first half against SA and topped the group.
Fra are also 6 Nations champs.

This post has probably now buggered everything. :D

teams etc .. any comments about NZ team and players?

I'm toldthat theyhave a very impressive haka ;)

Fra fast out of the blocks and press for first 10 mins, NZ scrum looks strong in first scrum

NZ settle and get really their first presence in Fra 22

0/0 after 15

Fra totally attack oriented, like SA match ....but that went somewhat sour in the 2nd half of that game. ;)

Fra scrum stronger and they press in NZ 22...

NZ break out and pen taken quickly ...

3/0 after 37

Fra similar to gane v SA in first half but .....were under stress in 2nd half.

This game is anybody's and bench will tell ..

Fra nearly in in the corner from kick pass...dropped on the line ..

1/2 time.

all to play for ...

Fra press and Ntamack in near the posts

10/0 after 44

NZ subs on and they look more agressive and penetrative.

However, Fra pen and lead 13/0 after 50

Fra scrum crushing nz now, ...

Big crowd being a lot too pre-eptive I fear....

Fra long pen ........from 50 ....past the post ....

NZ are winding up some big subs changing their game positively.

another Fra pen after scrum ...

take lineout option, hmmm

Brennan on, he was pretty useless v SA, Bomba replaced who has had an excellent match

Fra press from lineout but NZ break out after error, vital stage of match, ...Fra last Q reputation isn't good...

NZ taking driving option and it is more effective

Tmo for potential foul play NZ ...

stamping, penalty, no card.

Ntamack taking pen replacing Carbonel ..

and misses, just under the post., missed kicks could prove problem.

NZ drive effectively again, some missed tackles, hmmm

More Fra subs

still 13/0 after 60

That was good to watch and France were excellent.

The referee was told that a NZ player had stamped on a French arm, but not the face, and the referee didn't issue a yellow card - that was lenient as the arm was nowhere near the ball …

Anyway, NZ finished with 15 players and France were good value for their win.
