Inevitably a weak Fra selection given widespread absences, Biggest holes : 15, 1 x centre now Fofana is forfeit, 10, back row in general especially 8, props (better props on the bench :D ) and general bench.

Good to see Parra back, been the best french 9 for yonks ...but face didn't fit

Le XV de France face à la Nouvelle-Zélande :
Médard – Thomas, Bastareaud (cap.), Doumayrou, Grosso – Belleau, Parra – Gourdon, Sanconnie, Cancoriet – Maestri, Gabrillagues – Atonio, Chat, Priso.
Remplaçants : Pélissié, Baille, Slimani, Le Roux, Lapandry, Serin, Plisson, Fickou.

Hectacomb awaits but it wont be 100 beasts slain ....it will only be 23 :D

NZ squad, I'll leave comments to those more au fait than I
...loks pretty frightening to me
I thought that reports said Crotty, Cane, Whitelock were likely forfeit?

Le XV de départ : J. Barrett - B. Smith, Lienert-Brown, Crotty, R. Ioane - (o) B. Barrett, (m) A. Smith - Cane, L. Whitelock, Squire - S. Barrett, S. Whitelock (cap) - Franks, C. Taylor, Moody

Remplaçants : Harris, Tu'inukuake, Tuungafasi, Fifita, A. Savea, Perenara, McKenzie, Laumape

Crotty is back a bit early I reckon. Cane and Sam Whitelock were always going to turn up. Whitelock especially after Brodie was ruled out with the pec tear.

Hard to say how this one will go. We generally start the season with a shitty performance - and with our best player Brodie out, well he leaves a huge hole. I'll pick the ABs but only by 1-12.

3/8 after 20, ABs lots on unfamiliar errors...

and a super AB try when the french defence looked like holding up with Thomas tackle.

Barrett bros in the van

8/8
