Tough luck for Webb/Wales and with Davies doing so well at 9, we may not see him in international crimson, for some time to come.

Not so sure about Aled Davies as back up, but maybe he hasn't had enough game time to be properly judged.

Webb is a better player than either Davies.

Gareth Davies is not in the same league as rhys webb. We will struggle in the next 2-3 years because we haven't got a world class 9. The WRU should be ashamed of them self's.

I like Davies: he's dynamic and had a good game against us, IIRC.

He seems to be the future for at least 12 representative months.

I guess they were working on the abundance of 7s at the time? It's luck of the draw surely? I don't know how the WRU can be blamed for a positional underrepresentation. You can't anticipate how a player will turn out or what positions you will lack in the future.

Just doing what their regional masters told them to

Can't see his Toulon move being a success.

Name one Welsh player who has made the venture to France and made even half a success of it?

Stephen Jones, Charteris, Gareth T

A decent follow up question may just be ...why?

Answer my question pls, ... why didn't the apparent failures not succeed?

Not sure how relevant this is, but JD2 in an interview with The Rugby Paper commented on how attritional the Top 14 is and how poor the fitness levels are of a lot of French players. It seems that, whether through default or design, the Pro 14 is less set-piece and collisions focused and more running around focused, so therefore those who succeed in one playing culture don't necessarily do so in the other.

Didn't the replacement throw a pass to a winger when the winger was in front of him?

Should they share the blame?

Should the scrumhalf have passed to where the winger should have been standing?

Llanelli used to practice forward passes before the matches down in Stradey, are the Scarlets still doing that?
