Leicester Tigers flanker Tommy Reffell is one of nine changes to the Wales under-20s starting line up against France on Friday.

He was rested in the 18-7 defeat to Italy, but returns to captain the side against the tournament leaders.

Ioan Nicholas and Ryan Conbeer are back from Scarlets, as is Ospreys scrum-half Reuben-Morgan Williams who withdraw from last week's squad with injury.

Cardiff Blues duo Iestyn Harris and Alun Lawrence move up from the bench.

Last week's try-scorer Tommy Rogers moves from wing to fullback, with fly-half Cai Evans coming in from 15 and James Botham shifting from openside flanker to blindside.

Bath lock Rhys Davies is in line to make his debut from the bench.

There were 4 injured from french team last week and 2 out because of double red.
No comments from press as to team at the mo.

French team has several chages incl only 1 3/4 keeps his place. The 2 red cards obviously absent.

Difficult to explain more from limited press input.

France have 3 injured, 2 disciplined and have made 9 changes.

Captain will be 19 yr old Daniel Brennan, son of Trevor, tight head prop 1,92m and 132 kg!

Gets a lot of press in France, eg as a 14 year old and lifting his father :D

Image

He has represented Fra at 16,17,18 and 20 and is hot property.

A sign of Pro Rugby at the mo ..

He signed a 2 year Espoir contract with his father's old Club (Toulouse) but is now rumoured to have been contracted to Altrad's Montpelier.

Has been immersed in french rugby and went right through the Academy system and is now committed to them.

Back to the match ...

Bookies have it Fra by 13 but reformatted teams etc ... one never knows. I've watched the french games ... they usually have possession and territory but poor finishing. Discipline always a problem!!

The other one to watch is young Ntamack son of Emile who is being nursed in the adult Elite Squad. 18 year old already well established at U20 and plays some Top14 games. Played for the French Baa Baas that beat NZ in the Autumn.

Eng and Fra in contention for Champs (Eng beat Fra 22 -6 in last match). I think that if Fra win they could take the Championship ... they have amassed a huge pts total after their 78 pts gained v Italy.

Cai Evans is no 10. He hasn't got a clue on how to play at flyhalf.
Cai is the beginning and the end of all Wales U20 problems.
He gets a penalty about five yards out and he puts the ball into touch about ten yards from the line. Not once but three times.
Besides the chip kick charged down for France's first try.

3/24 Fra Champs

Again discipline near the end should've been a red

That may be the worst side we've produced in years. In their defence a lot of them are from last year's under 18s but they are poor.
Scrums lost against the head and coughing up turnovers for fun.

Not many of that lot will trouble the cap makers by the looks of it.
