Fair play, Italy score in the corner but well beaten all the same.
I have to agree with Brian Moore when he mentioned giving another 2nd tier side a chance of qualifying in a play off at the end of a 6 nations season, because Italy are now in the category of a 2nd tier rugby nation in my book. If we want to improve NH rugby, why not even have a EU select side competing and make it a 7 nations comp, at least that would then ensure each team plays 3 home and 3 away fixtures which seems much fairer to me than than at present.

Improving N whemp rugby begins at home in my opinion.

Lots of work there instead of wheeling in another soft take into the 6 Nations.

Thought Faletau was exceptional today, class apart from any other pretenders for the 8 shirt.

The 2 loose sevens in the back row did not work

There are as yet undiscovered tribes in the outback who knew it wouldn't

James Davies made the most tackles 18 in all. Next best was Anscombe with 14 then Faletau with 11.

Defensively looks good but as a whole, back row balance far from right

Have to agree - looks good for the Scarlets but has had enough chances with Wales. Not up to it at International level.

I thought Evans looked very accomplished defending. George was the superstar winger today, but Steff did well.

Who else do we play? Cuthbert, Amos, Adams? I'd rather Steff Evans at the moment. Has an X-factor the others don't.

If its a choice between him and the alternatives (cuthbert?) Im happy to give him a bit more time.
I thought he did ok, capable of more than he has shown yet.

I think he is going to be worth persevering with. His defense is a little weak now, but I think he will grow into it in a couple of seasons, so if he is chosen for the right games he will be up there with shane

Halfpenny showed a little of his old speed today, Liam I think is still a very good full back, but I think Gats will punish him for his behaviour today-reminded me of the test in SA when he lost us the game.

Someone needs to tell Steff that he doesn't need to try and score EVERY time he has the ball, Shane was a bit like that in his early days but he slowly learned when to and when not to pop up in the line and was a far far better player for it

What are the right games and what are the alternatives ...we are looking for prime now at this stage prior to W Cup

Which raises the issue of what have we learned by today's selection with regard to futures given the vulnerability and sloppiness of the opposition?

It was, imo, more of a replacement selection rather than a build and, at the end of the day, difficult to decipher the benefits?
