I think Roberts could be used as a sub. An effective player. Whether he still has the fitness? However longer term we need to find a new style.

I can’t really see the point in having him on the bench when he can only cover one position. Not sure he has the ability to vary his game specific to what is needed at the time he comes on.

Depends what is required of him and if what he does is effective. He is very direct and quite predictable but if you can't counter it, it will work. The fact that he only covers one position is a case if who else you have to play with him and what positions they cover.

Except Roberts isn't good enough and hasn't been for a few years. Everyone knows how to deal with a 12 who is just a crashball option.

He’s far too slow these days and is no longer a viable option. Wales have finally moved on.

Yep and some time after common opinion on here was that Wales should move away from Roberts at 12. Wales should be looking for a playmaker 12 but in my opinion I'd say Nonu was the ideal 12 after he expanded his game to be more than just a big lump. A midfield of Nonu and BOD in their prime would have been a delight to watch.

Actually going to throw this out there, I don't watch many of these players at club levels but could you try Patchell at 12?

10 - Anscombe
11 - Adams
12 - Patchell
13 - JD2
14 - North
15 - Williams

All when fit and available.

Absolutely not. He seldom if ever plays there even at regional level, so sticking him there at the Aviva would be really risky.

I used to rate Joseph. I think he’s been ordinary this season.

Niether had Farrell until we stuck him there
