Anyone got the time on their hands to get the ages of the squad members ? I am at work clearly working really hard

Just looked up the Wiki page. The median age is 25. They range from Owen Watkin and Seb Davies who are 21 years old, to AWJ who is 32.

Surely the end for Roberts and Chateris now. A shame in a way, I've been critical of Jamie in the past - but it would have been nice for him to get to the Century. He is surely young enough for 2019 - but clearly not in the plans for that.

If even more injuries occur, maybe at least one of them might come back.

Provocatively.. :D ...why play Rhys Webb when he's subsequently not W Cup selectionable?

Same comment goes for other comments regarding other players in that mould?

Strongest set of forwards I have seen in a while

Has to be the end of the road for Roberts... with JD and Tyler Morgan unavailable he still didn’t make the squad.

The lack of a world class centre in the 6 nations squad is probably my biggest worry

Roberts hasn't passed the HIA protocols yet.

He's recently been playing really rather well for Quins, I'd imagine if he passes HIA protocols he'd cover the first inevitable injury afterwards

Owen Williams, Scott Williams, and Hadleigh Parkes are not too shabby.
I wonder if the thinking is for George North to move into the centre.
One never knows with Gatland, but we do seem to be fairly limited in the midfield.
Whereas the back three are well stocked:
Josh Adams (Worcester Warriors), Hallam Amos (Dragons), Alex Cuthbert (Cardiff Blues), Steff Evans (Scarlets), Leigh Halfpenny (Scarlets), George North (Northampton Saints), Liam Williams (Saracens).

Talent can emerge from any part of Wales. We need to nurture it wherever we find it. George North learnt his rugby in Angelsea.
We need to cast our net as wide as possible.
Wales online say there are current 94 Wales qualified players plying their trade in England.
We need to keep our eye on them as well as some of them are also England qualified.

James Davies according to Gatland has been on great form for the Scarlets for the last few years so why has he never been picked until now?

Poor discipline and attitude, along with the constant presence of Warburton, Lydiate, Faletau and Tipuric. However, now that two of those are injured for the whole tournament and one of them for at least part of it, here is his chance.

Poor Attitude??? Warburton is always injured he is rugby's answer to Darren Anderton

Get injured hoing to the bar, if he drank :D

Good point Red, still get goosebumps however when I see Cuthbert still selected

I would go with Scot Williams and Parkes... but still dont think that is overly convincing at this level. It may be a bit more interesting if he puts north, patchell and Williams in the back three. A solid player like parkes might be useful then.

However I don’t want to see Biggar, parkes and halfpenny in the same backline.
