Some interesting choices and even more interesting spelling options. :scratch:

Indeed spelling a bit odd but as it happens I like the starting line up although there is no chance Gatland will drop the likes of Ken Owens and Samson Lee if fit.
We really do need our young props and locks to come through as we are threadbare here. Plenty of flankers available to Gatland and the AI’s suggest we now have more options in midfield.

Can't say I've heard of him either, but going by his Wicki page (not always great I know) you have to ask WTF is he doing in someones Welsh Squad?

Looked him up a bit myself and he seems well regarded and is apparently playing well.

Interesting choice to pick two loose heads to start and two tight heads on the bench. I agree we need to see Seb Davies at lock

I'm never sure that these posts aren't a pisstake (or a young child, or someone using speech recognition or something).

Wyn Jones is a great loosehead but I'm not sure he can play on the other side of the scrum. He's not as young as people think - he's actually older than Rob Evans by a couple of months. Useful to have around though and should be ahead of Nicky Smith.

Josh Adams is doing OK but not better than Hallam Amos or Steff Evans. Worcester are hardly lighting up the English premiership.

On the evidence of the Autumn tests, I'm not sure we are in a position where we can currently discard more experienced players like Charteris and Gethin Jenkins. My 23 for the first game would be (presuming all will be fit);

L Williams, Halfpenny, S Williams, Parkes, North, Biggar, Webb, R Evans, Owens, Lee, Charteris, AWJ, Moriarty, Tipuric, Faletau

Bench - G Jenkins, Dee, Francis, S Davies, Navidi, G Davies, O Williams, Amos

Halfpenny is no longer international class as a player, and certainly is too slow to play wing

Totally agree. I'm afraid it's time to bench Halfpenny and ditch him alltogether if there is a decent wing option - and no, not Cuthbert !!!

Hallam Amos already looked good during the AIs, and Steff Evans will be good once he works on his defence. Maybe Dan Evans could be brought in - he can play well at either wing or fullback.
