Post Player of the year ...
I'm not a fan of polls like this but here's the next one

Best World Player

Those that have been nominated :

B. Barrett, Farrell, Folau, R. Ioane, Itoje

I'd have to choose between Barett, Itoje, Folau ..

Barrett has been terrific but his kicking has let him down on occasions? It would be his second title.

Itoje .. up there but didn't get prime selections for Lions?

I'd choose Folau, game changer and a complete player ??

Farrell, no anti Eng bias promise!! .. just not made the diff like others and Lions form was in/out?

Ioane, .. finisher supreme but other positions elected more complex?

apologies it's in french but that shouldn't matter

I kind of feel like Barrett and Itoje are there based on the combined form of the past 2 years rather than just the last season. Ioane - you really need to be getting involved a lot to win this award as a winger. He's scored a bunch of tries, but that's his job - it'd be like giving the award to a lineout forward for just winning lineouts. Farrell, he does all the basics well but I don't think he's been amazing at any point.

I'd go for Folau. This is his best year in union, and in an Aus team that has had it's ups and downs he's consistently been a huge threat to other teams. He has upped his workload, obviously taken on more responsibility, and he wants to get his hands on the ball in the clutch situations. He's playing like Ioane should be aiming to play.

IMO this will go to either Folau or Itoje.

BB is a bit strange. He’s a freak, and it makes one posters comments about him being shocking on defense funny, but..........he’ll be lucky to get NZ player of the year I reckon. The voting year was from the AIs last year apparently so this EOYT wasn’t part of it, still, I’d have Retallick and Ioane before him, and maybe Cane and Whitelock. Aaron Smith has been pretty good.
