What about Alun Wyn? I know he hasn't finished playing yet, but he might have done by 2019, and he might take up coaching.

How about Adam Jones and Gethin Jenkins, who shall retire even sooner?

Ludicrous statements....don't we ever learn?

What about Barry John?

I know he's never coached before but he was a heck of a player, knows his rugby and is a legend.

I think get has done all his badges and is coaching somewhere, he is grumpy enough and takes no shit to make a decent coach IMO

Must of misse something in my post , I never mentioned head coach , I must be going blind cos when I looked back I still couldn't see it , it must be there or you wouldn't have mentioned it would you. I will look again. Did you read the thread before posting?

since the thread title is Stephen jones as head coach as wales, and you responded saying wellies has more coaching experience than howler did when appointed, then I was wondering how you were comparing the 2?

howley had 3 years as assistant coach before he was appointed as assistant coach to wales. he then had a further 4 years as assistant coach including a lions tour before becoming caretaker coach. Wellies has 2 years as attack coach and 2 years as backs coach so if you're suggesting wellies will have more experience as an assistant in 2 years time then howley did when he became an assistant to Wales then you'd be right. If you're saying he'll have more experience as an assistant before getting the head role at wales you'd be wrong. But no-one is suggesting wellies for assistant in this thread.

so now i'm wondering why you posted about howleys experience when appointed as assistant in thread about wellies being head coach?

sorry as well , bad time hear, but I was saying that Wellies is unexperienced as a coach but so was the howler when he started with Wales. personally I don't rate Howley at all. Especially as an attack coach.

Attack opportunities are predicated by the value of the defense in the first place.

One ought not blame Howley for the hand he is dealt.

And to be honest we did score some cracking tries.
