This idea seems to be doing the rounds.

While New Zealand are in Europe, play a deciding 4th Test against the Lions.

Do it! And do it in Cardiff!

Not convinced at all about the idea. the tour is done and dusted, excellent series, honours even and the trophy shared. Also completely unworkable as all 4 home nations will want the game in their country, therefore will only create tension and accusations of favouritism whichever venue was chosen.

We could schedule it for a week after their last Super Rugby game.

The SR Final is due to be played on Saturday, August 5, and a game on Saturday the 12th seems about right.

Play at Wembley then, and split the money evenly between the 4 Unions.

In all seriousness it wouldn't surprise me if they bought in a sudden death scenario for the next tour in the final game. We'd all rather a draw than lose but I can't imagine the players on either side or fans on either side can say they're completely satisfied with a draw as the end result.

Exactly....couldn't happen! won't happen! shouldn't happen!

What happened happened, its the way it is and the way it should be.

The idea is doing the rounds in the pink hat and daffodil costume shops i assume.

Should definitely be no extra time or replays or anything like that, I'm a traditionalist and shudder at the thought, a draw is part of rugby and a drawn series is part of rugby, they have already gone from 4 tests down to 3 increasing the likelihood of a positive series outcome.

It was a three Test series played in New Zealand in June and July. It was tied. That's it. No need for a decider in Britain in November.

Yep, the better weather in Wales in Nov would give NZ an advantage

It's over and that should be the end of it.

Not shooting the messenger but that's a terrible idea.

Agree absolutely, the Lions of 2017 are done. By all means honours the achievements in perpetuity, but the whole thing is about a group of players from these Islands travelling to the other side of the globe to play the best teams in the world.

What would be interesting during the Autumn would be to a proper Barbarians team together, and you could even include a few Scots, and then play the All Blacks. Sadly the twonks who run club Rugby would never agree to that

I like the Idea of The Barbarians taking them on but haven't we done that already? Could weaken the team by selecting only Northerner's who don't speak French or Italian perhaps?

Playing at Wembley to ease womble's angst is not a problem either ... we sure conquered it and made it home last time.
