Looking like the Lions are looking to have a proper go rather than just sneak it with penalties. Looking forward to it more than before with this selection.

So Gats makes some massive calls here but rarely for Wales. Wish he would show a bit more bottle for us.

Rieko Ioane in over Savea is a big call.

Dumping ALB to the bench is a stupid call.

Gees yep Iaone and ALB calls are big ones

Without a Saves or Naholo are we missing a big plus NZ game.

I don't reckon Jules is a scrap heap player like Rokocoko became but I do reckon he needs to reassess and just super fit. I want a fast Savea again, look at Ardie, he needs to get like that again.

Naholo is a fit/fast Savea.

Ioane is the fastest current AB and probably a good call as the Lions have got gas in their outside backs.

Yep though possibly horses for courses, a loss would be interesting how coaches would handle

Just heard Hansen explaining he decision. It's pretty legit really.

He said he thinks ALB can exploit gaps and space more (than Crotty) but doesn't think there will be many gaps in the first half. He's planning on using SBW to smash some holes, and bring ALB on after half time to do some offloads and create some stuff.

I would've preferred SBW/ALB but I can see the reasoning. Problem is if we win we'll get the old "don't cage a winning team" thing.

I would've loved to have seen SBW+ALB then Laumape at 60 mins on for SBW.

I hope Laumape gets a run if we are 2-0 up.

Hope that works well for the team, JD is very good, better than anyone Crotty has played in Super

Yep re Laumape, hope he has a cracker for hurricanes and forces their hand, like Naholo did lol

Interesting how much you rate JD bro. If Crotty wasn't coming back from injury it'd be a one horse race imho.

I liked him in his tour here last year, I though he was a stand out Welsh player, and still very good
Him and Te'o have been solid
I rate him more than Te'o as atm Te'o seems to be a bit of a two trick pony, up the guts (laumape better imo), and a solid defender, saying that he is a great one on one style attacker and defender, his state of origin history would support that class.

Don't agree on high accolades of Crotty yet until he cements the starting centre position this tour, and he shows super form at test level. imo there I think ALB has shown more in Black jersey at a good AB level. If Crotty can hold a starting jersey this year, and preform well maybe

It's bloody tough to cement a starting jersey in our midfield, SBW hasn't managed to do it, ever, yet he's still class. I'm not saying Crotty is a legend, just think he deserves a bit more respect, but that's a personal thing I guess.

For me he'll get his respect when he has earned it at this level, yep he's good, at super level, but at 12 we have had mauger, tana and ma'a and SBWs filling in a bit, they got respect and proof of it (not so much SBW's but he's preformed in big games), crotty may get more after this series, respect in Saderville, hopefully as a good AB, who has name on list always like Smith and Nonu did etc.
heres his opportunity I reccon
