Looks like Moriarty is in the frame for a test start.
The question is will it be 8 or 6?
Methinks it could be 8 as he was preferred before Faletau for Wales in the 6N.
If it is 6, then we could be looking at an all Welsh loose forward trio.

Gees that would be a bit harsh on Stander Obrien Faletau? They have looked good

Come on people, Faletau is the safest of safe bets for the test team. There is no other 8 in the same postal district as him.

Faletau looks like someone we'd pick for the ABs.

Lions team to play New Zealand Maori: Leigh Halfpenny, Anthony Watson, Jonathan Davies, Ben Te'o, George North, Johnny Sexton, Conor Murray, Taulupe Faletau, Sean O'Brien, Peter O'Mahony (captain), George Kruis, Maro Itoje, Tadhg Furlong, Jamie George, Mako Vunipola. Reserves: Ken Owens, Jack McGrath, Kyle Sinckler, Iain Henderson, Sam Warburton, Greig Laidlaw, Owen Farrell, Elliot Daly

Warns benched , no AWJ

Listening to Hika Reid on radiosport atm. Damn great stories about the Maori games. Love hearing how proud ABs are to play for Maori. Funny hearing about him breaking his arm putting a stiff into Andy Dalton's head too.

Guitars coming right out after the game with Pokere and Borovich playing for hours. I hope that still happens.

We can't downplay how big this game is. It's as important as a test to these fellas.

Jesus is that the team bro, holy crap that is one wicked backline.
I hope Haynes and May can do the job, I like the back row hard, not playing a traditional open side, and Dmac at 10, didn't see that happening, the Maori coach has gone out hard.
The team is hugely better than I thought last week, great starting team, no weakness, possibly the bench

Just so we get this right
Our loosehead is probably NZ's 4th - 5th best loosie somewhere after Moody, Crockett, Ofa

And the rest of the props prob not in top 10, before the scrum battles begin on the pitch and here.

Quite surprised how good the starting team is seeing it down on paper, better backline than Saders, prob better backrow too, it's going to be a cracker. They will be the most aggressive side your boys play to date. Excellent.
No punches though, we're British, I mean no punches though we're Maori, both don't sound right

I reckon that is the 23 for the first test.

Swap Farrell and Warburton for Sexton and O'Mahoney and I reckon that is the 15/bench.

The Lions should be able to pressure this scrum. If they can't they should be very worried about the tests.

Yup. Brains and work rate. Even if the other big PIer didn't get injured TF would've been my first name on the team sheet.
