Post Lions Ratings
OK so to show what I think game by game here are my simple ratings.

I'll rate every player good or bad and only rate subs if they play more than half

Hogg - bad
Watson - good
Joseph - bad
T'Eo - good
Seymour - good
Sexton - bad
Laidlaw - bad
Faletau - good
Warburton - good
Moriaty - good
Henderson - bad
AWJ - good
Sinckler - good
Best - bad
Marler - bad

So imho the playmakers and spine of the team were generally poor &
8 good and 7 poor is not going to get us very far.
It's only a coincidence that all our boys were rated good ;)

Feel free to post your own ratings

I haven't seen it yet.

Probably a good thing.

I will see it later on today, mind, but not in full.

Poor across the park, just put it behind you. Knives out for gatland I fear, fans and ex players from the other home nations fairly negative and we know gatland isn't 100% popular in Wales.

If the lions win a test he will have done extremely well

They will struggle to win a meaningful game. The whole concept is absurd in the pro era.

Pretty fair. I though Best did well except for his throwing, but throwing is big part of what he's expected to do. Agree on Warbs.

Watched it on S4C and the Referee was so on the ball that he barely used the TMO. "Held up, Held up, Held up, Held up".

S4C showed the two incidents that looked to be tries but the referee was right there.

it's only one game, but i would suggest the following players have blown their chance of a test start.

hogg
laidlaw
henderson
josepth
seymour also in trouble

there's only 2 more games left before the maori where gats will need to play close to his test team. so assuming 1/2p & liam will get a run out 15 over the next 2 games then don't see where hogg gets the chance to redeem himself. same at scrum half with webb & murray. similar at centre with JD2, daly, payne, henshaw & possibly teo at 13. second row has itoje, kruis & lawes to get a run out.

seymour didn't do much wrong, but he didn'at actually do anything. he didn't go looking for work and a bit anonymous so hard to pullthat back with north & nowell to get games, watson the better wing yesterday and the option of daly, liam & 1/2p.

just to add, not out of it yet, but sexton is in trouble. i can see biggar being the bench player as he's reliable and sexton is currently off form, with farrell starting

There were several others on the list too? Warburton looked out of it.

Send the coach home. Too late they already did.

some people played well. a significant number were distinctly average, while the rest of the players made mistakes and played worse than their semi pro opposites.

it's not rocket science, if that was trial game, everyone would be selecting Laulala over hogg
