Post Unacceptable 6N for Wales?
A fifth place finish is deeply unsatisfactory. Our squad is not world beating but I think we have underachieved. How much Howley is to blame is unclear but he surely has to take some responsibility?

The Welsh attack is only above that of Italy in the whole of the NH. It should be better.

One to forget. Howley has failed. How much he is to blame for that? I don't really know, but fail he has.

6 nations your either win it or are one of the 5 losers.

Scotland humped us but England and France relied on luck

The main issue is still midfield, its still pedestrian and looks meh, is that how they are told to play or are our 3 main centers just too alike, lacking skill and for me real pace?

I'm really coming around to North moving to 13

Wales played today as they have the last 3 times in Paris and relied on pieces of individual brilliance to win. The North try, Lydiate move etc..

We did not get that today and we lost. France really didn't look like scoring after the first 10 minutes, but we gifted them the win..

I think France did deserve to win, but the way they did was questionable, to say the least. And yes, 5th place is unacceptable, when you consider that Wales with mostly this same squad have been in the top three every year since 2012. Attack is the main issue by far.

Fine margins.

Losing 2 games in the dying minutes was the difference between being 5th or winning the championship.

The Scotland match would have put paid to that.

Very disappointing. We will be forced to blood some youngsters on the summer tour. That is a good thing.Until we get some raw pace into the backs we will lack a cutting edge.

I thought our centres won the game for us against Ireland, created 2 of the tries anyway. But you're right, outside of that they've been gash.

I can't think of a single positive from this tournament. We have learnt nothing new in terms of tactics or personnel. The coaching staff are rigid, stubborn and their ideas are old hat, the rest of the rugby world are leaving us behind. I won't even get in to selection.

Shawn Edwards did his tiresome angry bully routine the other day, stating the summer tour is the place to blood new players. When has taking an understrength side on tour and handing out cheap caps ever worked for us in the past? If the incumbent aren't up to it then we need to start drip feeding players in to the strongest side regardless of the opposition.

All in all, this tournament hasn't changed my opinion on where we are and what we've needed for the last few years i.e. new ideas from a new coaching team.
