But what does financially independent mean. No national debt. no public borrowing from sources outside the country, no private debt owed to creditors outside the country. UK fails on those three. Able to service it's debts - a lot of countries UK included are basically run on the never never. There are a whole load of newly independent countries in Europe I don't see what it is about Scotland or Cymru for that matter that make them, in principle, unsuited to being independent.

Scots would be mad to join the Euro hence realistically that cannot be independent. The fact they also just voted to remain part of the UK 55:45 says it all. Sturgeon Krankie needs to *fupp* off.
