That's close to the team I suggested last week except I had Mako for McGrath & Daly for Nowell.

In hindsight Daly might be the better option, but Mako is a poor scrummager who can be found out and becomes a penalty machine

Hughes is better than both Faletau and Vunipola at the moment.
It is difficult to argue against Stander except with O'Mahony

Just some selective comments

-I think Sexton is becoming too fragile, he took it yesterday again and it's getting too often

-I think Lions Test team will have Farrell at 10

-Mightn't be an early test pick but Ringrose could be a star of the tour, got everything and a class act... could do an O'Reilly but he was younger

-George the best hooker, wouldn't take Hartley on the 'boat'

-I've got an inkling that Faletau may well displace Vunipola, he's a lot more of a footballing 8 that's needed against ABs?

-As for Test Captaain ....someone like Launchbury may stand up and we'll have a Tour Captain too

For what it's worth

Faletau looked up to speed yesterday. Much more with it. Launchbury will tour but he won't be close to the captaincy.

Taking Hartley would save some as he could stay with his mum...

Yep I think that a tour captain will be selected but won't necessarily be a guaranteed test starter. AWJ will get it imo

O'Mahany (sp) is a great call, hard worker, great line out operator and should be right up Gatlands street

As for Welsh players I think Evans, Owens, AWJ, Sam, Tips, Falatau, Morriaty, Webb, Williams, North, Halfers and possibly Biggar will have a chance of a call, either from the start or possibly replacement during the tour.

I think there are 7 Wales players pretty much guaranteed to go:

Owens, AWJ, Warburton, Faletau, Webb, Biggar, North.

After that, Liam Williams as the closest of the "maybe" group.

Suddenly, looking at that side as a starting XV, I think we'll do well to even keep the score down to what it was in 2005.

Anything can happen once on tour so I'll go for 1st test-

Evans
George
Furlong
AWJ
Gray
O'Mahany
Warburton
Vunipola

Murray
Farrel
North
Henshaw
Ringrose
Watson
Hogg

Think that's my 5th different starting 15 :D

Stick a bowler hat on Picamoles, we might get away with it.

I think Liam Williams is pretty much nailed on.

If Scott Williams goes it will be nothing short of a miracle.

For him that is.

Rob Evans might be a surprise pick
