Re: Lions 1XV
I think they may go but only because of Gatland being Welsh coach. The only player I think is really nailed on is North because hes class when he gets space and a decent forward unit will give him that time on the ball he needs. I cant really see any others challenging for places when Wales are so poor. 1/2p has offered very little, and I think the idea of Scott Williams offering the best GB has to offer hysterical.

O'Mahany (sp) is a great call, hard worker, great line out operator and should be right up Gatlands street
As for Welsh players I think Evans, Owens, AWJ, Sam, Tips, Falatau, Morriaty, Webb, Williams, North, Halfers and possibly Biggar will have a chance of a call, either from the start or possibly replacement during the tour.
Scott or Liam? | | | | |
Liam Scott has no chance imo Massive disappointment this championship.

That's 8 English men... but warburton captain for me. Now his performances are back up I think it's a bit of a no brainer
I reckon the game in Dublin will have a big influence on the front row. If the Irish go well in the scrum I would take their props.
Furlong and McGrath are undoubtedly talented but cole has been around the block. He might not be everyone's cup of tea but it's unlikely to fall to pieces on his watch
No I would not even take Cole on tour. The Kiwi sides use the scrum as a means of restarting the game and their props and hookers are expected to make major contributions around the park.Cole will give little more than a steady scrum.I would take Furlong,Sinckler & WP Nel if fit.
Yep, kiwi props need to hold their own and that's it. Equally (or more imho) important is their smashing into rucks and getting around the park. I can't wait for these games!!!

Re: Lions 1XV
I agree your comments on Faletau the ABs would love Vunipola running at them or at least trying too.

Re: Lions 1XV
Been v impressed with Rob Evans over the last season - he has really stepped up to the mark & is a decent scrummager on top of his fantastic work round the park. Dont think Faletau will make the plane, Stander, Vunipola, Hughes, Heaslip & Moriarty are probably all ahead of him currently. Would like to see Thomas Young get on though I dont suppose it will happen...

The Brumbies are absolutely wrecking the Highlanders at set pieces.
Maybe this scrummaging props thing needs looking at again.

Re: Lions 1XV
I know the Lions tour party is being announced on 16 April.
Anyone know how many players are being taken?
