Well Argentina are now in the Rugby Championship and play pretty much the same role there that Italy do in the Six Nations, albeit at a higher base of course.

It'll never work Jaguares will never cope , the " logistics and travel would be too costly and cumbersome."

;)

Actually, they have already complained about that, and many Super Rugby fans themselves complain about all the travelling, as well as the incomprehensible and impenetrable conference and qualification system.

They have yes, and the travelling has been significantly reduced this year. In the case of Argentina, are you suggesting the Jaguares shouldn't be in the Super rugby competition ?

Well the travelling is rather overwhelming, and I'm sure that were it not for the jet lag then Argentina might have been more impressive during the AIs in November. (That said, I actually predicted that Wales would beat them, and thought there was too much hype about their 'fast and offloading' game that Wales apparently could not handle).

They shouldn't moan, they were set up for a playoff spot, but failed miserably with their big guns. Hopefully they have adjusted and are ready this season. I'm sure the meat eaters, cons and kiwis would love nothing more than to see them play well.

Even though Italy did rattle England yesterday, they still went on to lose by an even bigger margin to them than Argentina did back in November (albeit, granted, against 14 men in their case). As far back as 2005 Argentina actually won at Twickenham - I cannot see Italy doing so for at least another five to ten years.

EDIT: It was 2006 that Argentina won at Twickenham, costing Andy Robinson his job.
