Post Isn't this illegal?
This popped up on my bookface this morning, with lots of 'oh-wows' and other such stuff, but isn't it illegal?

CJ

Law 10.4 is usually refered to but does not state he act of jumping.

This refs forum states that it would be considered dangerous play and penalised

hope this helps

It's not as blatant as most. Lifting a leg over an arm. I cant see it being THAT dangerous or any intent there other than trying to avoid a tackle.

Its not hurdling or the ridiculous flying over a pile of players at a ruck type scenario.

If he was tackled in the process - would the tackler be penalised?

That, was what would have made it 'illegal' for me mate? The tackler actually got into a good body position, low, aiming for the shin/knee area but............... those flying boots?????? Alternately, had the tackler aimed for the midriff, I reckon momentum could have resulted in a possible tip-tackle? Who then would have been at fault? It's such a rare occurrence, it's hard to think what hard & fast rule could apply? For me, I'd have considered it a dangerous/illegal move and I'd be inclined to penalise it? (No more than that though?)

Bit of tough luck for you then, old chap. I really don't give a toss about your perceived sensibilities!!
