Post Back to basics ?
Why are the Referees not enforcing the basic rules for putting the ball into the scrums STRAIGHT and throwing into the lineouts STRAIGHT ???????

Ther have been numerous times where these rules seem to be being ignored and the more that the players get away with these rule breaks, the more they will do it.

There is always talk about how strict the refereeing should be with new 'hot' topics seemingly every few months but without the basic points being covered. The Ref's are there for a reason - so do what you are there for so that we can ALL enjoy the game more !

Another thing ....... why oh why is the match clock allowed to keep running down for penalty kicks and conversions ?
There is only one of the 30 players involved in the outcome - the rest are all catching their breaths and drinking whatever is in the waterbottles (Vodka maybe ? !!!) The match clocks should be stopped and the kickers informed that they have a set time to kick or they may be penalised for time wasting and the kick forfieted.

Surely this would make for more of the 80 minutes of 'match time being taken up with actual rugby ???????

It's 90 seconds from the ref giving the penalty according to some TV that's been shown.

The 90 ticks down ...
