Post Re: RL Player Dies - Cardiac Arrest
My daughter just had (this last few weeks) her internal defib changed, new batteries and wires, after 8 years during which it kicked in at least twice.

it was really nice of them to get a plastic surgeon to do the stitching.

Funny thing was, in moving the wires they scratched her lung and it collapsed, Having had two of those myself (not at the same time thank goodness) I was able to advise and reassure her that all would be ok, and it was.

Surgeon was very apologetic and of course we accepted.

She had some new furniture arrive today in her new place and her hound Toby, a border collie from Pembroke, has already bags I'd the best seat.

The magic of technology is that life rolls along :-)

Apologies if im talking nonsense here, but i always thought defibrillators were "idiot proof " in that if the heart had not stopped, they would pick up electrical impulses and fail to operate anyway. So in effect could be used with minimal training. Im probably way off the mark :dontknow:
The modern ones tell you how to work them, almost idiot proof although I would not like Bouch to be in charge.
