Midget tossing again LE? Thought that was a purely English rugby preserve!

You may be too young to have seen a 3 man lift performed? I am sure Fids can and has lifted 3 men?
I have done it in four countries and have memorabilia to prove it...

2016 Season on for Div I in California, Elite league start end of Feb. Home to Las Vegas today at 1pm, might go, but it is a bit cold by our standards, at 54 degrees (12 C)

Well, after a quick Stella around he corner from the ground, went to see the boys play San Francisco.

With 3 first team players playing for the US Eagles squad in Texas, and 3 retirements from last season, we have a few gaps. On a nice warm day and brilliant sunshine, the game was fast and open, and played with a lot on enthusiasm and occasional skill. SF were very adept at the offloading well, and put the home team under pressure.

SF scored 2 well worked tries and failed to convert either, while Belmont began to settle down and Eric Duchele, on the Eagles 7's squad, scored near the posts from a set line out play to make it 7-10 at half time.

Andy Jackson kicked a 40m penalty to make it 10-10, then he scored in the corner to make if 15-10 to the home team.

Just as we though Belmont would go on to win easily from there, a defensive mix up saw SF score under the posts with 7 minutes to go, and take a 15-17 lead.

However, Belmont decided to run everything from everywhere and a spectacular movement which started behind their own goal line lead to a try under the posts with a minute left and saw Belmont take the lead at 22-17.

We then dropped the resulting kick off, had had a scary couple of plays before full time.
Good game, a warm sunny day and one more Stella on the way home.

It's going to be a long season though..

You're getting some games played, that's good.

The Premiership games are being drowned off.

The US tied Agrentina in the Americas Cup 35-35, and our 2 players in the side went well.

Was a very good game, if a little loose..

Trademark police thwarted ...

We beat Santa Monica 59-0 yesterday on a nice sunny day.

We are trying to digest the USA rugby decision to award the West Coast "franchise" to San Diego not Los Angeles or San Francsico, both of which are larger with a longer history and cheaper and easier to fly into.

Country over club here and we have lost out Irish Head Coach and will lose players.

An investor has put up $5mm and this looks like a disaster to me but them I am a club man.

The relationship between USA Rugby and the clubs has always been poor, and this will make it worse..the Union are very high handed and arrogant. A favourite ploy was to hold am Eagles camp the same weekend as the National Championship
even thought the Eagles had no imminent fixtures...

Disappointed in you LE, with your acumen and contacs in high places I would have thought you would prove too much for the US blazers ;)
