Good local derby with Fatty Francis playing.

Much prefer to this to the irish games and their grating accents and half the away team missing ;)

Bath usually get a full house, they have fought authourities for yonks to upgrade but placement of ground is very sensitive to general Bath architecture and the Club don't want to lose the ambiance and move away.

A former colleague is an investor and keen fan..I believe they are making minor upgrades to add capacity

I think it's a bit more than minor, they have been looking to get this through for a while.

Exeter 7 has been AWFUL.

Francis turning up well around the park but getting taught a lesson in *fupping* about in the scrum

Nice location, easy access by train. Local planning restrictions (the last time I went there) ensured that the facilities were primitive in the extreme. Not sure I understand how the club actually manages to meet the Prem's terms and conditions - apart from the fact that Bath is probably one of the favoured few. I would doubt that a Championship club boasting Bath's facilities would stand much chance of promotion. :dontknow:

Major turnaround in the second half.

Bath should have been 20 up at half time. Exeter showed some fitness and mental strength

Well Bath threw that away, butchered far too many chances 5m out although Exeter got away with a lot of cynical play without even a warning. Decent by Mercer and he is young but damn he just doesn't look for the pass or offload, too busy trying to batter through defences.

Bath like to play the high tempo game and don't really rely on structure so much.

Exeter much more hard work, defensive speed and belief, and playing the percentages and it paid off. When Bath ran out of steam Exeter just carried on doing what they do, and had cut out the mistakes of the first half.

Interesting point by the normally turgidly annoying Ugo Monye on commentary, Rokoduguni is sensational in attack, but in defense, he just doesn't give a shit.

Francis fared much better in the second half scrummaging, think he got out thought in the first half and to his credit didn't let it happen in the second.
Still he's an international prop forward, shouldn't take you 40 minutes to figure out that you're opposite number is being cute and *fupping* you about rather than scrummaging.
Looked pretty mobile as well, did a lot of breakdown work.
