10 consecutive years and given that they've been relegated twice (?) is some record ..

I believe their grass roots ie support, bums on seats, following... Franklin Gardens is a lesson to many ?

Same applies to the others ie Leics, Toulouse etc ...

gut following is, imo, at the heart .. ?

Simply,

Northampton operate on near capacity (~ 14k) in the Premiership and HC and even in the down level =LV.
Official stats from the relevant oranisation site.

Leics also operate on near capacity even with their upgraded stadium staus ..

Any other gate reference is, imo, a red herring

According to Jeff Probyns article in the rugby paper, Northampton are currenly the only Premiership club in profit they made half a million last year but only recorded that profit because they along with the other Premiership sides {except Exeter} were given two and a half million {by RFU ?, Aviva ?}, otherwise they would have been down approximately two million pounds ?.

Tramps, incuded in the budget is the Union payment, ;. just like the WRU Regions, Top14 Clubs etc .. ....and, in their terms, it is 'earned'...

I'm not sure (away from archives) exactly what are the components of Union payout (player release, etc). In Eng the PRL negotiate their own TV rights and I'm not sure how it is paid out etc ...

PS Leics are a 'profitable' Club and are currently paying off Stadium extension.
