Post Re: Judgement Day VI
It seems as if 67,000 went shopping in Cardiff and decided to drop in and watch a little bit of rugby between phone calls.

what was the attendance?

That'll skew the Blues and Drags match stats :D

Just been on their web site and the Blues are claiming all 62k. :D

Does anyone know how the revenue is split between Blues, Dragons and WRU?

At £10 per head, ticket sales will bring in £620k. And then of course there is food and drink and merchandise sales. Can we assume the two regions split the £620k between them and WRU say takes all the food and drink and merchandise or does the WRU take some of the ticket sales?

This is a problem of cheap tickets, people then think nothing of not actually turning up to the game. Would be better at 15 pounds.

The Stadium sub contractors will take a slice as will the stadium facilities and services....security, ticketing, stewardship, cleaning etc etc ....

I'm not sure how the Season Ticket aspect works out if at all.

I'm pretty sure that the benefits will be considerably less than the match attendance stats will suggest ;)

At the end of the day the bottom line will be reflected in the Annual Financial report....which in previous Sesons (admitendly less seats) did not show any significant benefit.

Disagree. The £10 is a good price. The more you charge the fewer people go altogether or don't buy tickets to start with. Not everyone can or wants to watch both of the games. E.g. some children might get bored, or people working early or late.
