Biggar is yesterday's man. Time for Ospreys to find a good replacement.

Well we're in a sorry state then because he's better than Patchell if the Munster game is anything to go by

I agree. But Scarlet's problems weren't at 10. They began and ended with Varndell.

I enjoy your contribution here, but that is complete bolux

Did you watch the game?

I did and scarlets poor performance went a lot further than Vandell eg James Davies was far from his best and the Scarlets pack was distinctly second best.

Players missing but let's say it as it was ...

PS.I was not the only pundit on this forum who criticised Varndell.
He looked as if he was half asleep and of the many times, he got the ball he lost it one way or another.
I don't think he past the ball once. All movements died with him.
I'd be very surprised if he gets another game for Scarlets.

Ospreys playing well, but this game feels quite a big step down in quality from the Six Nations. Is this Leinster's B team or something, surely they are better than this?

Feels like a B team, no Sexton for a start.

Some of our reserves are very poor.

Why are Ospreys playing their Wales players but Scarlets rested 6?

I would dare venture that your tilt against La Rochelle, took priority over an essentially Celtic competition.

Which would you rather win?

That said, I'd settle for the Pro14 right now, but not if we keep fielding some of these players.

A good win for Ospreys and a favour for Scarlets.

Because the Scarlets have their European match(es) to think about, whereas the Ospreys need to ensure they at least can reach a play-off to play in the Champions Cup next season.

The young lad that came on at scrum half for the Os looked pretty decent. Did the basics well. One for the future I think.

I'm no fan of Biggar but he is great when playing to a tune and he has the right musicians around him.
That said, he is a completely different and a far better musician that Sam Davies.
I pity Ospreys next year if they have to rely on Sam.

That was a good performance and win for the ospreys

They have much better players than their league position suggests.

Biggar really needs to work on his distribution, particularly twisting and passing in a single movement not two. It seems he has reverted back to bad habits and a good backs coach would have fixed this. The rest of his game is world class though.

Post Re: Ospreys v Leinster March 2018
He is trying to play flatter but the game has changed a lot over his career

When he first came through controlling 10s like O’Gara and Morne Stein very much in demand. Ospreys also had their best players in their pack meaning biggars kicking game - which is very good, alongside the fact he makes very few mistakes - was very much in demand

There has been a shift from controller to play maker and unfortunately Biggar is not a natural playmaker. He isn’t helped by playing in teams who do not pick playmakers at 12 or potentially 15. If ospreys or wales had a mat gitau then people would appreciate what he brings instead of what’s missing.

Not to put down the Ospreys, but we should not forget it was a considerably weakened Leinster side.

It's a win.

Seems okay.
