I've got to admit that I was very surprised to see that we beat Ulster with a five-pointer despite missing so many Wales players and other through injury.
I hope we can repeat the dose against Leinster with the same team.
If we can we seriously have to look to Pivac and Stephen Jones for Wales coaching roles after Gats.
And then what do the Scal's do for a coaching team?

Another NZ coach with vision..the new Board is very ambitious.

As much as I love Scarlets Wales has to come first. :occasion5:

Just watched the game, Cuddy had a quiet game by his standards.
Tadhg Beirne was immense, pity he isn't staying on, at the end of next season he could qualify for Wales.
Ireland doesn't seem interested in him.

Don't worry he will be first on the squad list for the summer tests against OZ. He is a major step up from Quinn Roux.

Not while he plays beyond the provincial structure, no and for me, that's a !major mistake; should have been considered.

I wish he had a Welsh grandmother. He strikes me as another AWJ but is much more versatile.

Tadgh is a far better athlete

I agree, but there is a comparison in the work ethic of both. I the difference comes from the way the players have been used.
AWJ has been used exclusively at lock whereas Tadhg has been lock and flank with a very good coaching back up at Scarlets.
This has enabled him to develop additional skills which I think AWJ would have been capable of. :D

When AWJ was used a few times at 6, his lack of athleticism was shown up pretty quickly. Beirne is more like a high quality All Black with his speed and game reading intelligence.

Duw duw, thought Id heard it all, but I can honestly say I have never ever heard that before from a Scarlet, usually club before country in my experience!
