Post All Derbys should be played at the Millennium Stadium
Any thoughts?
Today we have had two games which were far from games that are going to bring the crowds flocking back to watch.
Close the roof at the MS and let's have some scintillating rugby, not the rain-affected rubbish we witnessed today.

No, the big attraction is that it is a home game (well, every other)

At the MS, no one gets a home game. The clubs would lose out big time too.

BTW, Derbys do not start and end at regional level. What about all the others? For example, Meisteg had 3 local derbies this week end.

Surely they would share the gate. I'm more than certain that there will be far bigger crowds attending.

I don't think so...14,000 there today, plus the drinks etc..by the time you factor in the WRU costs and the additional security etc..better to have a home game...

Money at the gate is not the point, home games give an advantage or should do, and watching your club at home is important to the fan.

There are 12 local derbies.

Home is supposed to be a significant advantage

Commercial sales for big attendance home games are uniquely taken by the genuine home team

Presumably Season tickets would automatically include these games and remember additional travel costs.

Travel aspects is also a broader issue, expenses etc '.travel time often important for the young..

The WRU wear and tear would be increased as would be the pitch.

Who provides the facilities, what are the contract aspects of the WRU and MS

Different ticketing aspects

BR I think that you may just be scratching the surface ????

Two questions then.

Did you go to the game today (I assume you are Scarlet?)

Would you have gone (or be more likely if not) to Cardiff on boxing day to see the game?

Same for the Newport game for those or those who follow them or went.
