You can say that again. How they almost won at Saracens - and with a bonus point too - is beyond me. (Or maybe last week precisely took its toll on today's performance).

Dragons, yes I accept that there are some good young players but some serious investment is needed to keep the better players in the squad together and help dragons win more games. An international LH, 8 and 9 would make a massive difference.

I actually was impressed by much of their back play, but as usual their weak forwards and lack of strength-in-depth eventually told.

Even by Pro 14 standards, this was a particularly slow and scrappy match. A lot of work to do by both teams...

It was, but Dragons were not routed, as I feared. They lost, but were not stuffed.

Considering they were playing the Ospreys, Either Dragons were up there, or Ospreys were crap.

Or BOTH!

Actually, the Dragons have been the Ospreys' bogey team over the years: for several years the Ospreys never won at the Rodney Parade, the Dragons are the only team to have ever put 50+ points on the Ospreys (35-51 in an Anglo-Welsh Cup match a few years ago), and even many of the Ospreys' victories over the Dragons have been narrow and uneasy. For example, in the 2015-16 season the Ospreys beat them 12-7 and 20-26, while last season they only won at the RP 0-10.

Do you have a theory for this?

Not a bad game to watch...some good phases of play and the Dragons had a chance to cause an upset....but the overall quality was poor and hardly anyone turned up at the Liberty....

While far from a classic, don’t think the game was nearly as bad as people claiming, I thought Sean Holley was overly critical in those first 20 minutes. Both Dragons and the Ospreys played some good rugby at times, and the contest between Biggar and Henson was very interesting. From the Ospreys point of view we seemed to tack a bit of explosive power in our ball carying, given that the dragons defence while well organised was quite passive.

but how many people were watching?
The pro 14 is descending into a pit once again this season. I can only hope that tonights game is a bit better quality.

I watched. It wasn't the best game I have seen recently. Not as bad as I think you make out though! But I agree, it wasn't one that stands out.

I'm not sure I'd write off the dragons forwards as weak. 2 tries from forwards... scrummaging in the first 55 mins was ok, lineout a bit wobbly but did lead to a try. The issues for the forwards are that the bench is terrible, when tom Davies and fairbrother came on dragons really started to struggle. Their contact work is the main area for all forwards (starters and bench) to work on, and no real turn overs

Some experience in the pack would be great. The backs have gav and to a certain extent pretorious. The most experienced forwards are still crap. Wonder of lydiate fancies a return, Rhys gill?

The Swans can't even fill the ground for Man U game at the moment.

Don't agree, fans of both sports are voting with their feet

Indeed. Until both the Swans and the Ospreys improve, they should not expect the fans to come back.
