Winger Blaine Scully will captain Cardiff as they head to Dublin on Saturday to take on Leinster, live on Sky Sports 2.
The USA international, who has skippered his country on previous occasions, is one of five changes Danny Wilson has made to the starting line-up following a 23-12 defeat to Munster last time out.
Scully and Alex Cuthbert are named on the wings, replacing Tom James and Aled Summerhill respectively, with full-back Matthew Morgan completing the back three.
Tomos Williams is given the nod at No 9 and links up with Gareth Anscombe in the half-backs, while Rey Lee-Lo takes over from Willis Halaholo at outside centre.
Kristian Dacey returns from Wales duty to start at hooker in the only change to the starting pack, with club captain Gethin Jenkins featuring on the bench after recovering from a bicep injury.
Leinster are unbeaten at the RDS Arena in all competitions since November 2015, but Cardiff coach Wilson has backed his side after four wins out of eight on the road in this season's PRO12 campaign.
"We have won more games on the road than we did last year, comfortably," said Wilson. "We knew going into pre-season that we wanted to improve our away record.
"We went about ways of targeting away games in the preparations, and we've certainly achieved that. But consistency is something we'll need to build upon for next season.
"It's about building performances now, and we need a performance away at Leinster to then go into a [Challenge Cup] quarter-final against Gloucester the very next week, which is a key target game for us
"We've got some big games ahead of us and they're games we're going to take extremely seriously, because if we don't make the top six we can be in a play-off spot which gives us an opportunity to make the Champions Cup next year."
Meanwhile Isa Nacewa comes back to skipper Leinster on the left wing, with Adam Byrne on the right and Joey Carbery selected at full-back.
Rory O'Loughlin is back from shoulder injury to partner Noel Reid in the midfield, and Luke McGrath and Ross Byrne pair up in the half-backs for the first time since Leinster's win over Ulster in December last year.
It's an all-international front row for the home side as Cian Healy returns from the Six Nations to pack down alongside Richardt Strauss and Michael Bent, while Dan Leavy comes in at flank.
