Having a mild (morbid?) fascination with WWII, the leaders and players have always interested me.
While this is a film (obviously there will be inaccuracies) I'm still excited for this.

The make up looks incredible in that pic!

Churchill is interesting, its widely agree'd he was a fantastic war time PM but useless peace time one.

I'm looking forward to Dunkirk too, hope it starts a 'remake' trend for the classic war films. Dambusters is well over due, if you saw Redtails the CGI for that was spot on for this sort of thing.

Just read Churchill's wiki page and saw a diary entry from
Field Marshall Alanbrooke:
Quote:
... And the wonderful thing is that 3/4 of the population of the world imagine that Churchill is one of the Strategists of History, a second Marlborough, and the other 1/4 have no idea what a public menace he is and has been throughout this war!
It is far better that the world should never know, and never suspect the feet of clay of this otherwise superhuman being. Without him England was lost for a certainty, with him England has been on the verge of disaster time and again ...
Never have I admired and despised a man simultaneously to the same extent. Never have such opposite extremes been combined in the same human being.

A description like that screams "make a film about me" :D

Plenty of WW2 movies out there, the Russians and Japanese have made some decent ones in the last 20 years.

Ive read and heard the film isn't that good.
Churchill...that's a different thread altogether. A product of his time. Nasty man but certainly great war leader.
