Good calls here. I've seen both, the new Transformers and The Mummy.

Transformers would be a ripoff if you stole it.

The Mummy - I guess if you're not paying for tickets it could be alright. Def not worth seeing at the cinema though. I was pretty disappointed with that one as Universal was trying to start a Dark Universe to house all their gothic characters and with this as the flagship it might not get off the ground. Oh well, maybe they'll try being creative and using new stories.

One I am looking forward to that hasn't been done as a movie yet is The Dark Tower series. Love Idris Elba and McConaughey is ok. It's a very good story and I hope they do it justice.

I read that series and could not wait for the next book to come out , how many films would it take to do it justice though.

Yeah that's tough. Not sure they could do it all. There just isn't the public appetite out there for new IP now days. If it's not a remake of something already well known you're lucky to get 1 film.

I hope they make it as a one and done film, an adaptation of the story with King's help. Then if by a small miracle it makes money maybe we get more but if not we're not left hanging.

I like both actors but The Dark Tower trailer did nothing for me.

Recently watched it....

And.....

I enjoyed it tbh :D

Yeah it's not going to pick up many awards and the acting is a little wobbly at times, but as action films go I thought it was decent, plus had quite a few laughs

Would never have paid to have seen it on the big screen mind you and the biggest problem with it was it had Tom Cruis in it... :D
