After all, it looks like only a matter of time before Scotland goes, and there are a good number of independent nations around the world even smaller than Wales. e.g. the Baltic states. What's your opinion?

You mean starve perhaps.
Estonia Latvia Lithuania Slovenia - they didn't starve, and at their independence they started off a lot hungrier than we are now and they either already have or soon will have fuller bellies than us. And of course closer to home there's the Republic of Ireland it did stave but that was when England ruled it.

The we are not worthy/we need to be looked after is a pretty self defeating world view but it does have the compensation of then always being able to blame someone else and never to have to take responsibility.
Being a British nationalist is a legitimate opinion but I'm always struck that the arguments for the British nation state don't point out how great Westminster government has been for us over the past half century ;) but rather just takes the view that I'm sh1t, you're sh1t, we're all sh1t and always will be.

SNP lost a lot of seats recently and the referendum voted remain part of the UK. Why do you think they will leave the UK in a matter of time?

You dont want a standard of living commensurate to their expectations.

Didn't SNP get a kick in the pants in the elections and many considered it a vote against independence which was on the cards but is now not top of the agenda ;) ie I don't buy your first premise ....

Just think now of people you know. How many work in places funded directly or indirectly through government.
That includes local government like education NHS etc, because if people are not working in production, there is no money for them to pay taxes and fund these things.

The only resource Wales has is leasing Milford Haven to the Russian fleet.

We need Applied Cymru

It's worth reminding ourselves of the many nations that are now independent from the UK/British Empire. Many fought for their freedom, and many were granted it when they were of no further use, or a burden to this country. Many countries are still in turmoil today following this country's intervention there. One of which is right on our doorstep.

Whether Wales will ever achieve Independance any time soon is doubtful, although not an impossibility, at some point in the future. Support has grown for it recently with a yougov poll showing 26% now in favour. The majority of whom were PC & Labour voters.

Not many Slovenians working here as they're already better off than us. Others are on course to overtake us also. What argument will you have then and your complacency has been exposed for what it is.

Maybe you haven't noticed how many Welsh people leave Cymru to work in England. If we were independent 10s of thousands of better paid jobs in the private, public and third sector would have to be located in Cymru. At the moment we contribute towards those jobs through purchasing goods and services and taxes but they're in England not here in Cymru.

Didn't SNP get a kick in the pants in the elections they got more MPs than all the other parties put together however the British nationalist media and you it seems sees this as defeat! and many considered it a vote against independence which was on the cards but is now not top of the agenda ;) ie I don't buy your first premise ....
The electorate seems to pretty volatile now but the SNP can still bank on 35-40% backing for independence which is at least 10% points more than when the first indy referendum was called. This "kicked into the very long grass" attitude regarding independence is British nationalism comfort thinking more than the reality.

Indeed. SNP still have 37 out of 59 Scottish MPs, which although is a massive cutback from 56, nevertheless it would still have been utterly unthinkable just a decade ago. Depending on what happens to Brexit, the Independence demands might start to rise again.
