Doubt there'll be many mourning his passing.

I'm against it too and his lingering in prison for 50 years is the best argument against bringing it back.

50 years of nothing, no hope, no future just endless days of nothing compared to a second on the end of a rope.

I thought that all this went without saying

in California, it is estimated that it costs an average of $85,000 a year to keep each prisoner locked up. Bit of a head scratcher. Seven of the top 10 salaries in the State employ in CA are paid to medical staff in the prison service. Surgeons get over $1mm a year.

And one or two good kickings thrown in for good measure.

Surely your not trying to say that incarceration is treated like a lucrative business in the land of the free ? :)

Not directly, but the data suggests that the cost of keeping a person in a State prison is about 4 times the amount spent by the State to keep a student at a California State University. They can't get doctors and surgeons to work there.
Inmates get better healthcare than about 70% of the working population.

Back to Brady, I remember that from childhood, both he and Hindley were very scary people.
