I took our 2 boys to RAF Cosford museum a fw weeks ago, they ate it up.

There was a tracked Rapier launcher from my old Regiment there too,

Boys love machines.

Free entry and £3 parking

When I was a kid we went to Weston on a paddle steamer. Dad had a beer and we looked round the lifeboat place. Amazing.

yeah we had a 19mth boy and a 4yr old girl, the problem is you have to appease both, there's an aquatic centre in Weston that the granddaughter liked very much the donkeys on the beach they both liked and the pier was good for both too, I took the older one on the dodgems, the boy was really pissed he wasn't allowed but there are lots of little rides for his age too, when I came back I was absolutely cream crackered, so today it was bampies time to recover. :brave:

I went to Weston as a kid to get the boat over to the island Steep Holm. That's a hell of a place to visit - proper adventure island stuff.

What I remember about the Steamer is the giant piston engines .. you could look and see them pumping like donkey engines.

It might have been a Sunday because the pubs were closed in Cardiff but not Weston?
