We got leg tit's .. the neighbourhood has gone down a tad lately and the new neighbour draws in biro on her legs, ..I can't make sense of the patterns or meanings, I just tend to throw up and vomit on my hedges and piss them off by accident .. although I suspect it is cosmic wisdom .. I mean who the bloody hell draws biro on their legs and then goes out in the sun? My favourite bird is a Blue Jay, like a colourful crow, flamboyant and noisey.. I haven't seen him since I had to kill Wodger, my Rat , who visited my garden but took a dislike to painted Ladies and the council came in. I am hoping he is ok .... um The Blue Jay ..Wodger has popped his mortal coil and all because he like peanuts. I did it ... just like Ned did in Game of Thrones ... He was my Rat.

Never visited this thread before, im seldom astounded but this post is amazing :wtf:

Like a visit to an alternative dimension. Probably safer to stay away, a bit like i treat my garden.

I've had a few of them - I'm glad you enjoyed Phil's marrow.

Bloody 'ell mun .. that sounds saucey!

I did have marrow once though. I was in a decent restaurant in the old part of Caen, just under William The Conqueror's Chateaux (that's a Castle in our speak). I had steak the girls had oysters. My steak had a brown dollop on it or something so I was a bit suspicious. I tried an oyster for the first time .. bloody hell it reminded me as a kid falling in the surf at Barry Island gargling on sand and salty water ..sod that for a game of Conqueror's I thought. Anyway, after that I stuck into my steak and it was wonderful, they obviously killed their food fresh because there were elephant and lion and elk heads on the wall of the place. Then in full carnivore gear I took a full dollop of the brown stuff ..and sod me it tasted exactly like Drippin! .. I was in heaven tellin' folks that I grew up on dripping. That's when some posh twat told me in an annoying tone of voice that 'it was actually Marrow' grrrrr. Still, you live and learn :D

A couple of bullfinches made their appearance this week.

They were beautiful to see but I was a bit slow with the camera.

Here's a goody :-

Had the first new potatoes this week end, delicious. Strawberry's a bit disappointing but we moved them from the raised beds to their own dedicated cots and while the are still alive the fruiting has been poor. The rest of the fruit, raspberries, gooseberries and white/ pink/black currents are fantastic. In the poly tunnel and g/house the toms, cucumbers, peppers, aubergines and courgettes are coming on nicely but still a couple of weeks before we can pick any Lots of other veg growing in the raised beds and this year we are growing 3 apples and 2 quince trees but training them on a fence so they grow horizontally rather than vertically, there is a French word for it but can remember.
Just hoping there is no problems with blight this year

Had the first of the strawberries today we've got loads, transferring them last year really worked and they were delicious with cream
