The Wailing on netflix is a Korean horror film. The first thirty minutes are a bit iffy and then it starts becoming darker and darker. It turns into a cracking film which really keeps you guessing. Well worth a watch.

I second that for the Wailing. South Korea has a great movie industry, they aren't afraid of the unhappy ending unlike Hollywood. They often rework Hollywood story lines and clean the flab from scripts. Well worth checking out movies like Train to Busan(zombie), Taegukgi(War),The Handmaiden(remake of The Fingersmith), The Man from Nowhere(think Leon with knives and axes), The Chaser(excop now pimp after a serial Killer) and The Yellow Sea(guy in debt forced to kill to pay off his debt). The last two are directed by the same director as The Wailing.

Film 4 this week has the Japanese Samurai movie 13 Assassins on, fantastic movie with one hell of a sword battle at the end.

Lady Vengeance!!

Gus was in this one albeit in his "manager" role briefly.

Proper sinister little bugger is Gus. Actor who plays him is brilliant.

The episode in Breaking Bad when he took out the cartel with a bottle of booze was one of the best

Watched a couple of good things recently

Spilt- with James McCavoy is a really good film I thought. If you liked Unbreakable (which I did) then you'll enjoy this...

Logan- Hugh Jackman's final outing as Wolverine. Decent enough, ending was poor though imo

Line of Duty series 4..... *fupping* brilliant! Seriously the best thing on tv at the moment. This series is best by far imo

Been binge watching Vera on catch up as I've never watched it and have to admit it's good, good stories to each episode which lasts for 90 minutes

Its a sit back have a drink and don't think too much about it film, not the greatest but worth a watch IMO.

I thought some aspects were very accurate.

The palace they take over is obviously one of Saddam's, this became Camp Prosperity? ( I think) the American Brigade HQ in Baghdad, the best cook house ever to have an egg flipped in it, more a food court.

Just watched Riphagen on Netflix. I'd never heard of this guy before, but he was one of the lowest forms of life ever. Described as one the Netherlands greatest war criminals ever The film tells the story of Dries Riphagen and his activities in occupied Holland during WW2. If you can bear the subtitles, it's well worth a watch.

W\Bob and David. On Netflix - it's Bob Odenkirk AKA Saul Goodman in a sketch show. Very good.
