Just saw an article saying Ridley Scott is probably making a remake of Battle of Britain.

I also saw one in 2002 saying Peter Jackson was doing the Dambusters after Lord of the Rings though.

I've been watching Homeland, which is pretty good.
League of Gentlemen is now on Netflix. 'Okee dokee pig in a pokee'. Oh aye. :D

Not sure when they filmed this season of Homeland but other than a woman president the entire plot of the intelligence services being at war with the president and "fake news" having a huge effect is scarily realistic!

That said most of this season has been a bit too much like a soap opera/emotional drama for me and only started getting decent in the last 2 episodes.

I've had experience of women with bipolar disorder, and have to say that aspect of it is spot on.
The political element is a bit fanciful at times, but keeps you watching.

I was watching Michael Portillo play Basketball in Kansas. He was dressed like a JayHawk and for once his garish attire didn't offend one's sensibilities.

He is a very good TV presenter.

My daughter is naughty - she always keeps an eye out for Michael's partner. He's usually off to one side .....

That's one of the reasons the Tories let go of him so easily. Don't think his open gayness sat well with their return to Victorian values.

The Wailing on netflix is a Korean horror film. The first thirty minutes are a bit iffy and then it starts becoming darker and darker. It turns into a cracking film which really keeps you guessing. Well worth a watch.

Just watched Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter. ( Generation War ). It's a German mini series that follows the fortunes of five friends from 1941 to 1945. Tells things from a German angle, which is different from the usual stuff you see. It's pretty grim and brutal in parts following them to the Eastern front, and back in retreat and defeat. It's up there with Das Boot, and well worth a watch. On Netflix ATM.
