I can't find any coverage of Wales in this competition. Did we do so badly?

So I was right. We did so badly nobody wanted to talk about it.

How well did our vaunted Tipuric and Amos do?

Don't think there was much coverage on the EBC though I think 7th is about what was expected considering the lack of effort from The WRU and the regions to 7's

In mitigation, we were in the same group as Fiji and only one team could go through to the last four.
We ran them very close and did better against them than any other team apart from New Zealand the eventual winners.
So we could only play for 5th to 8th, so I think the boys switched off a bit.
The match between Wales and Fiji, if you can find it on Youtube, was very exciting.
Only a last-gasp try got the tournament favourites through.
Wales were also unlucky when the ref got in the way of a Welsh defender and stopped him being able to tackle the Fijian.
I didn't see Amos in the team against Fiji but Tipuric was outstanding.
If I were the Ospreys coach I would switch Tipuric out of the forwards into outside centre.
What the hell is he doing in the forwards, he is a born outside centre and would not disgrace a number 13 jersey.

The refs on show were average to worse. They kept up with play at least - and I do mean least.

Blocking the runs from the scrumhalf seems to be a tradition down South .... using the referee to block ambitious tacklers never came off and crossing was largely ignored as well. It seemed to be regarded as an art form.

The BBC coverage was less than inspired and the 7s was given lip service.

Some of the girls looked a challenge for an optimistic lad.
