After replay etc his decision was validated and subsequently also agreed by tmo

14/17 after 57

Doesn't make it right, the laws are pretty strict on the issue and the fact the player was still moving and then grabbed Mays legs mean that should have been a yellow. It's only not given if a player is static under the ball and another player jumps into their space. The Racing player was moving forwards so that doesn't apply.

Decision made and validated by offials contrary to your opinion.

Now move on

Totally disagree.
It went back to video and tmo agreed that Racing player couldn't get out of the way and May leapt into him.
It was just.
There for all to see on replay.

Except the Racing player could have got out of the way, or more accurately not got in the way in the first place... If 2 players run into space and 1 jumps, it's accepted the other is at fault if they don't jump and end up taking out the jumper. He wasn't standing still. That's been given as yellow nearly every time.

Thank you, that's the whole point, most referees penalize the impact not what leads up to it.

Had May rolled on the floor like the cowardly French wing LeClerc did in the World Cup semi final, Leicester might have got a yellow card and won the game.

Owens described it, tmo agreed without debate, 20/23, move on

Suggest we move on and see if an Aviva team can qualify.
