Is this the start of a resurgence in the Dragons fortunes.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/42745735

Dragons coach Bernard Jackman said: "This group showed really good resilience; that was their [Bordeaux's] full-strength side out.

"They had something to play for so it's a really good win for us.

The Bordeaux Bégles are in 8th position mid-table in the French Top 14.

Really!?

Without current internationals Ducuing (FB) Serin/Jalibert (half backs) Poirot (Prop) and other regulars ...

Be careful what you read and who you listen to ;)

Why would Bégles play a weaker side when they had a chance of making the quarters?

They have had more false starts than a 100M sprinter with Tourette syndrome

Don't apply logic, the French are superior in everything to do with rugby... ;)

Priorities or Miscalculation spring to mind. Its a trophy but not a particularly shiny one.

The point I was making is that they did NOT field their best side as was stated.
That is fact
Do you deny that?

and, follow on xref your comment ...

Bordeaux have more to lose if they don't concentrate on top 6 Top14, the play offs and the home kudos as well as qualification for next years Champs.

Compromising that by going for a win in Challenge Cup is a much bigger risk financially and qualification wise.

Look also at attendances .. Bdx get 20k+ in Top14 that's what delivers the bacon.

Is that not
1) Fact
2) better logic?

Wadr your comment just seems a backbite with little thought, questionable good sense and scrambled logic

....Top14 did get 4 teams qualified although this years Champs Cup I would say belongs to the Irish.
