Post Toulouse v Cardiff Blues
Tomorrow night at 8pm. From what I can tell, both teams are fielding close to full-strength teams.

That is not the best Tlse team by some chalk.

This is the team that beat Clermont 28-18 the last Top14 game.

They have made significant improvement this Season and the Holmes/Dupont half backs have been fundamental in that and Huget back to excellent form. Now 3rd in Top14.

In the Clermont game the star players were Dupont, Huget and Ramos.

Team v Clermont

Yes, bringing in Medard to start is really trading down.

Even if that may have not been Toulouse's strongest side it was still full of French internationals, and certainly I didn't expect the Blues to actually win there!

Gotta love it how, both here and in other rugby fora, when a Welsh team does badly like Scarlets tonight we discuss it for pages and pages, but when a Welsh team does well - OK it was not entirely a full-strength team, but this is Toulouse we're talking about not Worcester - people hardly say a word. :sleepy2:

I watched the Scarlets match but was able to watch Tls/Cardiff during their 1/2T and after match for another 15 mins and some other snatches.

Cardiff played very well and were applauded and appreciated by the french commentators.

According to some input this was a young Cardiff team, also without key players.

The Tls team although not prime was truly representative and of quality.

One must remember too that Tls were playing at home, not a prime gate but 12k+

Overall, must say well done Cardiff and they are going well and this further win might well kick start an overall better performance
