Saracens way out in front and advisedly so!
Leins rightly #2
Can't understand either Toulon or Clermont popularity.
La Rochelle showing increasing popularity.

Very early days.

Scarlets supporters ...20/1 worth a bet?

I think the French clubs are still popular because they can all play like shit and somehow still get their way into the final.

Interestingly, I was reading the Toulon-Scarlets preview in the Rugby Paper, which featured a pre-match interview with Jonathan Davies (the current Scarlets player, not the retired one), and he said that he finds the Top 14 to actually be slower than the Pro 14, but the reason why it is considered to be better-quality is because the forwards tend to be bigger and more aggressive. In short, French teams are certainly no more skilled than those elsewhere, just more powerful.

yep, agree on Toulon and Clermont.

Saracens are well ahead according to the bookies, and they are right.

La Rochele have made the biggest jump based on round 1 from 25/1 skybet to 9/1. Probably deservedly so. managed to nab them at 25/1 and might profit take/hedge later if they can make it to the semis.

Picking out the pool winners in an accumulator is a bit of fun. I have

Wasps
Leinster
Toulon
Saracens
Munster

81 euros, pays 2000+.

But very hard to win on it. Now v. worried by wasps - which I would now change to La Rochele - but still reasonably happy with the rest.

Anyone, else want to give their pool winner predictions, post them here.

Scarlets to top their pool? (No seriously). Even at home Toulon squandered a massive lead against them, so goodness knows what they'll be like at PyS. Bath don't seem that impressive relative to their players and Treviso, although improving, are still Treviso.

Pre-tournament I backed Saracens to win again @ 5/2

My other bet was a small ew on the Scarlets @ 25/1.

The last time I looked Saracens were 15/8 & Scarlets 16/1.

Saracens, I've got a sneaky feeling for Leinster and La Roc the dark horse.

Wont mention Scarlets 'cos of the inevitable mockers if I do!
