It's the desire for players to get injured that boggles the mind.... all the architects of the 2003 events at Stradey are either dead or gone from the club.

The Scarlets could have won that despite that start.

So close.

Steff Evans was ok, playing against Tuisova was a good experience of what it will be like at international level.

Pretty pleased with that Scarlet effort. For 20 minutes they were on the ropes but for the following 60 minutes they went toe-to-toe with Toulon and nearly sneaked what would have been a historic win. On another day Halfpenny would have kicked those kicks so nothing between these two teams at the moment.

What about Wyn Jones then - impressive or what.

I don't see a lot in the Toulon scrum week in week out. Given their size and experience ?? although they do play the likes of Gorgodze 2nd row these days...)

Although ....their scrum coach is Dal Maso (ex french/Agen hooker), recognised scrum expert ... called up by Japan during their impressive W Cup, seconded to Wellington in Super Rugby and has just been called up by Jones as Eng scrum coach.

(Poor bugger recently diagnosed with Parkinsons)

Scarlets forwards did well but were under the cosh when Toulon employed pick and go and reverted to play close up the middle.

They did miss their regular back row foragers but so did Tln with Vermulen and Manoa missing.

All set up for the Pys return, ... full house?

Im extremely happy. However i dislike incompetence from so called professionals, such as the match referee.
Im also not a fan of self-centred back stabbers hence my dislike of the terks.

It's a little bit off that a welsh born referee (despite RFU tag) can be allowed to referee a game in the first place.

If the terks lose this then good, hopefully some injuries to hurt them further down the line as well. I'll never ever support traitors to the game, sport and public.

More Twattery

As an aside, people ridiculed me earlier in the thread for predicting a draw, yet I was almost right. :occasion5:

Great great start for scarlets in Champions cup. Stade Mayol is some place to get a losing bonus point, even if Toulon at not firing.

But can Scarlets be consistent enough to make it count by qualifying out of the group stage ??

Last time a welsh team got out of a pool....... 2011/12 season.

Cardiff Blues.

Beaten 34:3 by Leinster in QF.
