The Conference format makes sense from some perspectives but it does make it hard to get a read on where various teams are at.
Once you move to knockout you could get some very one sided games between teams that look even on paper.
I don't think it has really helped in the Pro14. It would have been better with a straight league format where everyone plays each other home and away.

the conf system in s15 make things more difficult than Pro14 two conf much easier. Good for sa to see Chertahs will play in the QF and talks are Sharks will be pulling out of S15 and join Pro14 in 2020 where they have a bigger supporter base and Pro14 expanded to Pro16

It’s a bit shit tbh, the best teams don’t make the playoffs. It was created to give the aussies and meat eaters a better chance at getting into the playoffs, as it’s good for viewers and money. Purely a financial decision.

Lions 29 Hurricanes 0 in Sydney. First time in Tah's Superrugby history that they were whitewashed. They still on top of Aussie conference though.
Chiefs 34 Blues 12 was expected. Blues still 2nd from bottom overall and Chiefs move up

next weeks Highlanders Bulls game gets interested from Lions point of view. Although Highlanders are a deceptive 6 th overalll they are one of those nz sides fmy was at pains on explaining they should be higher because they have played less games. The Highlanders have in fact played fewer games than most teams , only 7. but are only 6 points of still top of the log Lions.
SA conf the Lions are 11 points ahead of the Buls who have played one game less and are still behind the Sharks.
What outcome do the Lions prefer? Should Lions be more concerned with their conf.or the overall log?
Probably the latter at this point.

com'on bbf give them some credit. They tried to tackle du Preez at least but they just skidded off him so it's not totally missed rather not held onto the tackles
and your buddy son is not as big as du Preez so expect a sterner challenge and the Lions is playing away
