Post Davids to coach Boks 2018
New Springbok Head Coach 2018 acting as Rassie Erasmus's nr2 is Deon Davids
...not official as yet
.... I like this guy...Guiness Pro14 Championship forum guys will recall how I mentioned it many a times that Davids is a very good coach
I am sure this guy and Erasmus who used to be a Springbok player and Captain from nr6 can put it all together.
My heart is starting to beat Boks Boks Boks again ...

Some posters will say but you used to shout but quotas ... but these two coaches should be able to pick the best irrespective colour and still make the quota % required by sports law. Just like Neill Powell is doing at the Blitzboks
I said many times I do not mind if we play 15 black or 15 white or 15 yellow or 15 brown ... as long as they're the best.
I believe it will start happening in 2018 when Davids as coach is announced

I think Davids has done quite well with the scraps he's often been dealt. No offence to the players he's used, I'm referring to losing players often, having to assemble squads on short notice, very little recruiting funds etc.

Will be interesting at the very least, if he gets the job.
Scarily, they're talking about Mzwandile Stick coming back  ! Has he made such improvements since last year?!?!?!

No I don't think Stick's record qualifies him for the job. He needs more experience
anyone from these I would be happy with
Davids ; Ackerman (S18 finals) ; John Plumtree (Sharks , Canes nz)

I thought the Boks played great in the second half yesterday. Well, after the first 32 minutes of the 1st half really.

They were every bit as good as Wales for very long periods and were a bit unlucky to lose.

No, not a wind up.

It was a damn good game to watch.

You're missing the point. Matching a Wales B team for 48min is not the goal/standard we should be aiming for...

Now, now.

You did play some good stuff. No really.

Losing a key player in the second row and then subbing your dominant prop towards the end didn't help.

It's a performance to be proud of given the earlier performances, Boet.

That, again, is not a wind up.

Wales were classy in the first 20 minutes as we didn't knock the ball on.

Can I make a suggestion?

Stop harking back to 1995. Some old timers here still drool over the Wales sides of decades ago and it's all bygones to me.

If you can sort out the daft buggers who are putting political spin on the selectors you'll still produce giant forwards with class and lightning quick backs.

That's a bloody good start.

As I said, Wales were good to watch for a while.

So were your lads.

Again, I mean that.

I'm all for ambition but I'd want to change the political regime over there.

Mind you, I'm not happy with our lot either.

:D

As usual, I disagree with you.
And who the fupp is harking back to 1995? Bouch being Bouch I suppose.

Just saying, make the most of what you have - if the politicians allow - and the youngsters will come through.

Okay, we can agree to disagree?

I'm off for some food.

Bye.
