Post Mjekevu ??
Toulouse favs to sign winger yMjekevu (other clubs also interested) from Southern Kings, as an injury joker for a young 22 yr old International (anorther serious injury to a young player 7 mths off knee ligs injury during pre season training).

He did play for Perpignan before going to Sharks in 2013.

Any comments on him, form and type etc appreciated.

Although Top14 squads are usually strong they are limited to only 32 pro contracts + exceptions which include 'injury jokers'

Most other french players have now signed contracts for the new Season which starts in 2 wks. Clubs also compromised by the new International release obligations.

Southern Kings finished 11-th in the S18 but the type of rugby they played / running game from quick ball brought attention. Mjekevu a wing came to the fore later. His biggest asset is speed which is needed on the wing. Their star winger is Mapimpi but he got his fair share of tries. Some good wins in Australasia this year showed the Kings are on the up and good for their players the international recognition

Thks Bok, it would be a pity if the squad dissipates. What's the youngster Aidon Davies like?

Davis still young about 22/23 a looseforward on the up. At the Kings the attention was on Cloete (now at Munster) , he was the ace flanker, so Davis was a bit in his shadow at the Kings. Strong and good in the lineouts though.
