Post Final Lions vrs Crusaders
Prob best 2 teams, I must admit, I haven't seen a whole game of the Lions this year as I get pretty 1 dimentianal on our games.

This is the time of year I end up supporting the Crusaders as they are the last man standing.

Possibly biggest game for many of the players, the final Super title for Crusaders has been a long time from winning, 8 years?

Good luck all.
Tamaniavalu, the Fijian wing centre has been awesome this year and with Naholo and Saveas wing performances average, I'd love to see him get a place at the eoyt for All Blacks.

Bryn Hall has been awesome at 9.
I like the two front row reserves
Michael alalatoa 130 kg prop born and raised in Sydney who I recon could be an AB, size and presence, tight head.
Ben Funnell the reserve hooker who I like ahead of other AB reserve hookers.

Can't wait hope I can watch it

Lions to watch again Jaques van Rooyen (Poliesman) he scored just before ht
Will have to go hard ABs frontrow
Ross Cronje' at nr9, Fanco Mostert at lock, Harold Vorster, Rjv, Skosan and Ruan Combrink all potential for playing a big one

Lions frontrow weights
Ruan Dreyer th 112 kg
Malcolm Marx hooker 119 kg
Jaques van Rooyen lh 122 kg
Lions flankers are light
Locks add a bit to better scrumaging

First year S18 (Lions back from the 3 yr ban) Crusaders learnt Lions (amateurs then) a lesson in the scrum. Second year(2015) Lions were better and 2016 Lions were competitive. Everybody says Owen Franks Joe Moody and penalty Crockett and the 130 kgs will murder Lions.
We lost first place on the S18 log last year (when we played all the nz teams in the pool rounds) by scrumming B team locks against Jaguares (to counter jetlag in nxt home game) and we didn't scrum well and lost the game and hosting the home final
Lions props also not many test experienced as the Springboks only started picking Lions from 2016 again

Hard to follow this final. I don't care about the Lions and I don't like the Crusaders. It's meh vs ugh for me. Hopefully it'll just be a great final. I might miss it as we're off skiing for the weekend. Not sure if the place we've booked has Sky, it should do I guess. Just have to see if I can be arsed getting up for it after a day on the slopes because I'll be *fupping* sore.

Go rugby!

This is one of the reasons why I still like super, if this happened two weeks ago against the Lions in NZ B and I Lions, there would have been a huge debate, comintators, fans.

I like how the commentators just say good tackle and on with it

A bit more excited about this one than I should... Will be such an awesome success story for the Lions if they pull it off.

all tickets sold out by Monday 4 pm (sa time) . Stadium capacity 60 000 as far as I know. Some fullhouses nz teams at Ellispark I recall or attended. Surely there were many more
'93 First S10 final. Francois Pienaar's team (Tvl lions) vs Auckland Blues
'95 WC final Springboks vs All Blacks
2015 RCs Springboks vs All Blacks
2017 S18 final. Lions vs Crusaders

I get shivers running down my spine there everytime and someone said you get it when you meet dead people. Must be the old Springbok ghosts reunite there come game time

Lol
I know that Justic doesn't post regularly

Interesting the ref calls
Peyper reffing
At first I thought this was a shocker, then looking at the 2016 final I see we had Glenn Jackson, so we have to live with that one.

Hope there's no bad calls

I hate these soft yellows like Barrett's, it has really changed the game this year..
Hope for an incident free, full on game

Vernon, I'm always on here, have had my fair share of spats but enjoy the rugby buzz and people's opinions, mostly lol.

Great to see two countries in the finals, Lions deserve to be there, and the Hurricanes win shows we definitely aren't the only big hitters.

My wife is 6 months pregnant and planned the ski trip as her last holiday away while she can still walk around comfortably.

Normally I'd be set up for a SR final, but pregnant wives come first.
